PostSubject: new paintball marker   new paintball marker Icon_minitimeJuly 16th 2010, 23:55

Ever since I saw a first strike round I've been thinking of ways to effectively use them. I have been trying to design a new paintball marker from scratch, but have run into one issue. I don't know how the intenals of a paintball marker actually work. For instance if you had a pump marker how do the internal componets work to relaes the correct amount of gas to propel the ball? I have a great idea but am having trouble with some of the details. Is there anyone who would like to help me with this?

They work of regulators and valve positioning picture 3 pockets and a slide valve first pocket (back) is the supply of air and when you slide the valve/pump forward it loads air into a cavity middle then when you come back it will allow it into the next chamber (front) once you open that one with a trigger pull... Very basic Example but gives you some idea. If you want to learn how a Paintball gun works the google about the AutoCocker and the Automag they are a simple as simple gets especially the mag. But you cant make a pump out of one.. You would spend a lot of money trying to build a marker... at least 500 just at the machine shop! Might look into picking up a older gun and modding it. The gun I had out there was a Mini Mag with a bolt that had not even been updated.. they have level 5,7 and X-valves that are all upgrades to my bolt and it did great and you can get them on Craigslist for like 50 bucks or less! Then just cut off the feed neck and slide them in the side in front of the bolt. There are lots of other guns that could do this also I like mags because they have been known for there reputation in accuracy through the years.. and I like to be Old School!
